List of Malayalam Movie Releases For Vishu 2025: This Vishu, there is an exciting lineup of comedy-thriller films that are going to hit the big screens with big and notable names vying with each other. From the ever-charming veteran Mammootty, to the rising superstar Basil Joseph and budding Naslen and others, three movies are clashing at the box office for the movie buffs to relish the festival weekend. Check out the list of movies below.

Mammootty's Bazooka

The OG, veteran Mammootty is back with an action-thriller this time. Written and directed by Deeno Dennis, the movie titled Bazooka carries sky-high expectations and also features filmmaker-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon alongside Mammootty in a key role. Bazooka was first conceived in 2018 by Dennis who finally announced it in April 2023 with Mammootty as the lead. The cinematography of the movie was by Nimish Ravi. Praveen Prabhakar and Nishadh Yusuf worked as the editor.

Bazooka is the story of a cop and a businessman who unite on a mission to capture a serial killer using a series of games. Mammootty plays the role of Mr. Nobody and the movie is gearing up for a hyped theatrical release on April 10 for the Vishu weekend. Saeed Abbas composed the film's music and score. The movie also contains Babu Antony, Shine Tom Chacko, Iswarya Menon, Gayathri Iyer, Divya Pillai, and Neeta Pillai among others. The director calls Bazooka as the first 'Game-thriller' in Malayalam cinema.

Basil Joseph-starrer Maranamass

Basil Joseph is in the prime of his acting career and the 'Minnal Murali' director is returning to the big screen once again with a movie titled Maranamass. Co-written and directed by Sivaprasad, the movie co-produced by Tovino Thomas is a dark comedy thriller charting the character of a serial killer based on 'Ripper Chandran.' Unexpectedly, the serial killer, the target, a girl and her lover along with others end up in a bus one night with a series of events that unfold leading to drama and surprises. It stars Anishma Anilkumar, Babu Antony, Rajesh Madhavan, Siju Sunny, and Pooja Mohanraj among others. The movie will be out on April 10.

In the movie which is coming with a tagline of 'Not a mass padam,' Basil Joseph is going to be seen in a funky sigma male makeover for the first time. Chacko worked as the film's editor and JK composed the entire music. Neeraj Ravi is the cinematographer for Maranamass.

Naslen's Alappuzha Gymkhana

With Naslen in the lead, Alappuzha Gymkhana is a sports comedy-drama co-written and directed by Khalid Rahman. Made on a decent budget of Rs 20 Crore, the movie is going to hit the screens on April 10. The movie depicts the lives of a group of youngsters who are bad at academics but want to join the same college through the sports quota. They pick Boxing as their sport and luckily get through the district-level championship. As they progress to the next level, what unfolds is all about Alappuzha Gymkhana. Nishadh Yusuf worked as the editor and Jimshi Khalid is the cinematographer. The movie's music was composed by Vishnu Vijay and it stars Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi, Sandeep Pradeep, Anagha Ravi, Kottayam Nazeer, and others.
