Aadu 3 OTT Release: Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1, popularly known as Aadu 3, arrived in theatres on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Eid-ul-Fitr. Written and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, the Malayalam fantasy comedy serves as the sequel to Aadu 2 (2017) and marks the third installment in the Aadu franchise. It is also planned as the first part of a two-film story.

The film was jointly produced by Vijay Babu and Venu Kunnappilly under the banners of Friday Film House and Kavya Film Company. The ensemble cast is led by Jayasurya, alongside Saiju Kurup, Vinayakan, Renji Panicker, Sunny Wayne, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Bhagath Manuel, Indrans, Bijukuttan, Sudhi Koppa, and Harikrishnan, with Alleya Bourne and Krishna Jeev joining the franchise. Vedhika also appears in a special role.

Set across multiple timelines, the story unfolds in a future where a powerful regime is searching for a rare substance believed to have the ability to alter time. As resistance groups attempt to stop this mission, the narrative moves between different eras, including an 18th-century kingdom protecting a hidden secret and a present-day storyline involving mysterious sealed boxes connected to the same legend.

As characters from different worlds and motivations cross paths, political tension, personal agendas, and larger conflicts begin to shape the journey. The film connects these timelines through a larger mystery, showing how decisions made across generations influence one another.

The film's music and original themes were composed by Shaan Rahman, while the background score and new themes were handled by Dawn Vincent. Cinematography was by Akhil George, with editing by Lijo Paul. Production design was managed by Anees Nadodi, and costume design was by Stephy Zaviour.

Sound design was handled by Kishan Mohan, while the final mix was done by M. R. Rajakrishnan. The film's VFX direction was led by Jishnu Dev, and the lyrics were written by Manu Manjith. The technical team also included Vinay Babu as executive producer and Gopakumar GK as line producer.
