The story follows Ajeesh Hariharan, a young man who is active on social media and aspires to gain recognition and fame. Known online as "Junior Prince," he spends his time creating content while hoping for an opportunity that could change his life. His routine takes an unexpected turn when a major film shoot arrives in his neighbourhood, bringing him closer to the world he has been trying to enter.

As events unfold, Ajeesh finds himself navigating new situations that test both his ambitions and his personal relationships. The film also explores his bond with his father, weaving together moments of humour with emotional exchanges.

On the technical side, cinematography is handled by Swaroop Philip, while editing is by Shafeeque V.B. The film's music and original score are composed by Sanal Dev. Production design is by Nimesh Thanur, with costume design by Arun Manohar and sound design by Sync Cinema. Additional contributions include lyrics by Manu Manjith, Harinarayanan, Sharafu, and Fejo, along with visual effects by Coconut Bunch.

After its theatrical run earlier this year, Ashakal Aayiram has now made its way to streaming. The film began streaming on ZEE5 from April 17, and is available in Malayalam and Tamil.
