Athiradi Box Office Collection Day 11: Tovino Thomas And Basil Joseph Film Crosses ₹61 Cr Worldwide

Athiradi Box Office Collection: Athiradi continued its theatrical run through its second weekend with moderate collections at the box office. The Malayalam action comedy, featuring Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph in prominent roles, completed eleven days in theatres on Sunday, May 24. Day 12 collections are currently underway on Monday, May 25.

Athiradi Day 11 BO Crosses 61 Cr Worldwide

Directed by Arun Anirudhan, the film was released earlier this month and has continued its theatrical run in Kerala and overseas markets. The cast also includes Vineeth Sreenivasan and Riya Shibu.

According to trade tracking platform Sacnilk, Athiradi earned an estimated ₹1.68 crore India net on Day 11 across 834 shows. The film's total India net collection now stands at ₹32.12 crore, while the India gross collection has reached approximately ₹37.26 crore after eleven days in cinemas.

The overseas market has also contributed to the film's overall theatrical business. Reports indicate that the movie has grossed around ₹23.75 crore internationally so far. With combined domestic and overseas earnings, the worldwide gross collection has reached ₹61.01 crore.

The film witnessed stronger occupancy during its second Sunday compared to the previous weekdays. On Day 11, occupancy reportedly stood at around 45 percent across Malayalam shows. Earlier in its run, the film had opened with ₹5.55 crore net on Day 1 following paid preview collections of ₹0.52 crore. The first weekend collections remained stable, with the film earning ₹4.25 crore on Friday, ₹5.10 crore on Saturday and ₹5.60 crore on Sunday.

After completing its first week with ₹28.15 crore India net, the film entered the second week with comparatively lower but consistent collections. It earned ₹0.95 crore on Day 9 and ₹1.34 crore on Day 10 before registering a jump on the second Sunday.

Athiradi Storyline And Crew

The story revolves around Samkutty, a civil engineering student attempting to revive his college's cultural fest, which had previously been banned following a stampede incident. His plans take an unexpected turn after the kidnapping of chief guest Vineeth Sreenivasan and musician Shaan Rahman by a local gangster known as "Thotta Kuttan."

The film has music composed by Vishnu Vijay, with cinematography handled by Samuel Henry and editing by Chaman Chakko. The screenplay was written by Paulson Skaria and Arun Anirudhan. Athiradi has been produced by Basil Joseph and Dr. Ananthu S, with Sameer Thahir and Tovino Thomas attached as co-producers.

With the second weekend now completed, attention is expected to shift toward the film's weekday hold and how it performs in the coming days at the box office.
