Athiradi Box Office Collection Day 12: Tovino Thomas And Basil Joseph Film Crosses ₹62 Crore Worldwide

Athiradi Box Office Collection: The Malayalam action comedy Athiradi continued its theatrical run after completing 12 days in cinemas. Starring Tovino Thomas, Basil Joseph, Vineeth Sreenivasan and Riya Shibu, the film has maintained steady collections during its second week at the box office.

According to trade tracking website Sacnilk, Athiradi collected ₹0.57 crore India net on Day 12 across 796 shows. With this, the film's total India net collection has reached ₹32.47 crore, while the India gross stands at ₹37.66 crore.

The overseas market has also added to the film's overall earnings. Reports suggest that the film has grossed ₹24.65 crore internationally so far. Combined with domestic figures, the worldwide gross collection has now touched ₹62.31 crore within 12 days of release.

The film opened with paid premiere shows on Wednesday, collecting ₹0.52 crore before its official release. It later earned ₹5.55 crore on Day 1 and maintained stable collections through its opening weekend. The film collected ₹4.25 crore on Friday, ₹5.10 crore on Saturday and ₹5.60 crore on Sunday during its first weekend run.

After completing its first week with ₹28.15 crore in India net collections, the film entered its second week with comparatively lower but steady numbers. It earned ₹0.95 crore on its second Friday, followed by ₹1.27 crore on Saturday and ₹1.53 crore on Sunday before witnessing a drop on Monday. Day 13 collections are currently underway on May 26.

Athiradi Story, Cast And Crew Details

Written and directed by Arun Anirudhan, the film revolves around Samkutty, a civil engineering student determined to revive his college's "Arohan" fest, which had previously been banned following a stampede incident. However, his plans take an unexpected turn when chief guest Vineeth Sreenivasan and musician Shaan Rahman are kidnapped by Sreekuttan Vellayani, also known as "Thotta Kuttan," a local goon who later becomes a musician.

Apart from Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph, the film also features Zarin Shihab in a key role. The supporting cast includes several actors from the Malayalam film industry.
