Athiradi Box Office Collection Day 3: Tovino Thomas And Basil Joseph Film Crosses ₹15 Cr India Net
Athiradi Box Office Collection: The Malayalam action-comedy Athiradi, starring Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph, continued its theatrical run with steady collections over its first weekend. Directed by Arun Anirudhan, the film released in theatres on May 14 after holding paid premiere shows a day earlier.

According to trade tracking platform Sacnilk, Athiradi earned an estimated ₹5.10 crore net in India on Day 3 (Saturday) across 1,841 shows. With this, the film's total India net collection has reached ₹15.42 crore within three days of regular release, including paid premiere screenings. The India gross collection currently stands at ₹17.89 crore.
The film also recorded notable overseas business during the weekend. According to Sacnilk, Athiradi collected around ₹6 crore gross internationally on Day 3, taking the total overseas gross collection to ₹16 crore so far. Combined with domestic earnings, the film's worldwide gross collection has now touched approximately ₹33.89 crore.
The Day 3 numbers marked an improvement from Friday's collections. After opening with ₹5.55 crore net on Day 1, the film saw a drop to ₹4.25 crore on Friday before recovering on Saturday with ₹5.10 crore. Occupancy also showed an upward trend during the weekend. The film recorded 49 percent occupancy on Saturday compared to 43 percent on Friday.
Before its theatrical release, Athiradi had organised paid premiere screenings on May 13, where it collected ₹0.52 crore from 115 shows while registering 77 percent occupancy.
Athiradi Cast and Crew
Written and directed by Arun Anirudhan, Athiradi features an ensemble cast that includes Vineeth Sreenivasan, Riya Shibu and Zarin Shihab in key roles. The film has been produced by Basil Joseph and Dr. Ananthu S, with Sameer Thahir and Tovino Thomas attached as co-producers.
The story follows Samkutty, an engineering student attempting to revive his college's popular "Arohan" festival. His plans take an unexpected turn after the event's chief guest is kidnapped by Sreekuttan, a former goon who later becomes a musician.
The technical crew includes cinematographer Samuel Henry, editor Chaman Chakko and music composer Vishnu Vijay. Additional dialogues for the film were written by Sonu Surendran.
With Sunday collections expected to influence the film's opening weekend total further, industry trackers will be watching how Athiradi performs in the coming weekdays after its steady weekend trend.
