Athiradi Box Office Collection Day 6: Tovino-Basil Film Crosses ₹25 Crore India Net & ₹50 Crore Worldwide

Athiradi Box Office Collection: Athiradi, starring Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph, continued its theatrical run with steady collections during its first week in cinemas. The Malayalam action comedy has now crossed the ₹50 crore mark at the worldwide box office within six days of release, according to trade figures reported by Sacnilk.

Directed by Arun Anirudhan, the film collected an estimated ₹2.05 crore India net on Day 6 (Tuesday). With this, the total India net collection has reached ₹25.32 crore, while the India gross stands at approximately ₹29.37 crore.

The overseas market has also contributed significantly to the film's overall numbers. Athiradi reportedly earned ₹1.25 crore overseas on Tuesday, taking its total international gross to ₹21.75 crore so far. The film's combined worldwide gross collection has now touched around ₹51.12 crore.

Athiradi began its theatrical journey with a paid premiere on May 13, ahead of its official release on May 14. The film opened with ₹0.52 crore from premiere screenings before registering ₹5.55 crore on its first full day in theatres. Collections dipped slightly on Friday with ₹4.25 crore but picked up momentum over the weekend, earning ₹5.10 crore on Saturday and ₹5.60 crore on Sunday.

Weekday collections saw a decline, with the film collecting ₹2.25 crore on Monday followed by ₹2.05 crore on Tuesday. Despite the drop after the opening weekend, the film has maintained a stable run across Kerala and overseas markets.

On Tuesday, Athiradi recorded an occupancy rate of 26 percent across 1,509 shows. The film's occupancy during the weekend had remained comparatively stronger, touching 56 percent on Sunday.

Athiradi Cast, Plot and Crew Details

The film revolves around Samkutty, an engineering student attempting to revive his college's popular "Arohan" festival. The story takes an unexpected turn after the event's chief guest is kidnapped by Sreekuttan, a former goon who later becomes a musician.

Apart from Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph, the cast also includes Vineeth Sreenivasan, Riya Shibu and Zarin Shihab in key roles.

Athiradi has been produced by Basil Joseph and Ananthu S, with Sameer Thahir and Tovino Thomas serving as co-producers. The screenplay was written by Paulson Skaria and Arun Anirudhan. The film's music has been composed by Vishnu Vijay, while cinematography was handled by Samuel Henry and editing by Chaman Chakko.

With the film completing nearly a week in theatres, trade analysts will now be watching its second weekend performance to see whether Athiradi can maintain its momentum at the box office.
