Athiradi OTT Release Date Officially Announced: When And Where To Watch Tovino Thomas And Basil Joseph Film

Athiradi OTT Release Date: The Malayalam action-comedy Athiradi, starring Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph, is set to make its digital debut after completing its theatrical run. Directed by Arun Anirudhan, the film arrived in cinemas on May 14, 2026, following a paid premiere held a day earlier. The movie brought together a cast that includes Tovino Thomas, Basil Joseph, Riya Shibu, Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Zarin Shihab.

Blending campus-based comedy with action and adventure elements, Athiradi revolves around a college festival and the unexpected events that unfold around it. The film was written by Arun Anirudhan and Paulson Skaria, while production was handled by Basil Joseph and Dr. Ananthu S. Tovino Thomas and Sameer Thahir were associated with the project as co-producers.

The film centres on Samkutty, an energetic civil engineering student who sets out to revive his college's legendary Arohan fest, which was banned by the management following a stampede incident a few years earlier. However, his plans are disrupted when the event's chief guest, Vineeth Sreenivasan, and unexpected guest Shaan Rahman are kidnapped by Sreekuttan Vellayani, better known as "Thotta Kuttan", a notorious goon-turned-musician.

Behind the scenes, Athiradi featured cinematography by Samuel Henry and editing by Chaman Chakko. The music was composed by Vishnu Vijay, with lyrics penned by Suhail Koya. The technical crew further included production designer Maanav Suresh, costume designer Mashar Hamsa, sound designer Nixon George, and stunt coordinators Action Sandhosh and Phoenix Prabu.

Athiradi OTT Release Date And Platform Announced

For viewers who missed the theatrical release or are waiting to watch the film at home, the streaming date has now been confirmed. Athiradi will begin streaming on SonyLIV from June 19, 2026. The platform announced that the film will be available exclusively on its service from that date.

With its OTT premiere now scheduled, audiences will soon get an opportunity to watch the action-comedy from the comfort of their homes. The OTT release comes nearly five weeks after the film's theatrical debut on May 14, 2026.
