Balan Box Office Collection Day 3: Balan: The Boy continued its steady run at the box office over its opening weekend, posting its highest daily collection on Sunday. The Malayalam psychological thriller, directed by Chidambaram, witnessed consistent growth across its first three days in theatres and has now crossed the ₹8 crore mark in India gross collections.

Balan Box Office Day 3 Crosses 8 Cr Gross

According to figures reported by box office tracking platform Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated ₹3 crore net in India on Day 3 (Sunday). With this latest addition, the movie's total India net collection has reached ₹7.17 crore, while its India gross stands at approximately ₹8.31 crore after three days of theatrical release.

The film, which opened in cinemas on June 19, showed gradual improvement in collections throughout the weekend. It started its theatrical journey with ₹1.82 crore net on Friday and climbed to ₹2.35 crore on Saturday. Sunday's earnings of ₹3 crore marked its strongest day so far, reflecting growing audience turnout during the weekend period.

Occupancy numbers also indicated a positive trend. The film recorded an occupancy of 28.7 percent on its opening day before rising to 38.3 percent on Saturday. On Sunday, occupancy further improved to 45.1 percent, suggesting increased interest among moviegoers.

Malayalam remained the film's dominant market. On Day 3 alone, the Malayalam version contributed ₹2.90 crore net from 1,002 shows, recording an occupancy of 52 percent. The movie also had limited releases in other languages, with Hindi contributing ₹0.01 crore, Tamil ₹0.05 crore and Telugu ₹0.04 crore on Sunday.

Balan: Cast, Crew, and Story

Directed by Chidambaram, Balan: The Boy features Adhisheshan, Farzana Palathingal and Muhammad Zinaan in lead roles. The supporting cast includes Tovino Thomas, who appears as Abbas, along with Jean Paul Lal, Girish A. D. and Beena Antony.

The film follows a mother and son who are separated by fate and connected by a shared past. As hidden secrets begin to emerge, they are drawn into a journey to uncover the truth while seeking redemption. The story centres on family relationships, long-kept lies and the consequences of the past.

The film was produced by KVN Productions and Thespian Films. Jithu Madhavan has written the screenplay, while Shyju Khalid handled cinematography. The music has been composed by Sushin Shyam and the editing is by Vivek Harshan.

With Day 4 (Monday) collections now underway on June 22, industry observers will be closely monitoring how Balan: The Boy performs on its first weekday after a healthy opening weekend. The Monday trend is expected to provide a clearer indication of the film's box office trajectory in the coming days.
