Balan Box Office Collection Day 5: Balan: The Boy continued its first-week theatrical run on Tuesday, June 23, with the Malayalam psychological thriller adding another steady day at the box office. The film, which hit theatres on June 19, has now moved closer to the ₹20 crore mark worldwide after five days in cinemas, while its Day 6 collections are currently underway on Wednesday, June 24.

Directed by Chidambaram and backed by KVN Productions and Thespian Films, Balan: The Boy stars Adhisheshan, Farzana Palathingal and Muhammad Zinaan in key roles. The psychological thriller follows a mother and son whose lives are shaped by long-buried secrets. As they confront the past, the story explores truth, loss and the emotional fallout of hidden realities.

Balan: The Boy box office collection after Day 5

According to trade tracking portal Sacnilk, Balan: The Boy earned an estimated ₹1.11 crore net in India on Day 5. With that, the film's total India net collection has reached ₹9.33 crore in five days. Its India gross collection stands at ₹10.81 crore so far.

The film also added to its overseas tally on Tuesday. It reportedly collected ₹0.50 crore overseas on Day 5, taking its international gross to ₹8.50 crore. This pushes the film's worldwide gross total to ₹19.31 crore at the end of its fifth day in theatres.

The film's first weekend contributed a large share of its opening-week numbers. It opened with ₹1.82 crore on Friday, followed by ₹2.35 crore on Saturday and ₹2.90 crore on Sunday. As is common with weekday trends, the collections dipped after the weekend, with the film earning ₹1.15 crore on Monday and ₹1.11 crore on Tuesday.

The cast of Balan: The Boy includes Adhisheshan, Farzana Palathingal and Muhammad Zinaan in central roles. The supporting cast also features Tovino Thomas as Abbas, Jean Paul Lal as Pavithran, Girish A. D. and Beena Antony as Shamna.

On the technical side, the film is directed by Chidambaram and written by Jithu Madhavan. Shyju Khalid has handled cinematography, while the music has been composed by Sushin Shyam. The editing is by Vivek Harshan, and Ajayan Chalissery is credited as production designer. The film has been produced by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn.
