Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam Box Office Collection Day 2: Saiju Kurup's Film Sees 55% Growth In Kerala
Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam Box Office Collection: The Malayalam film Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam, featuring Saiju Kurup and Suraj Venjaramoodu, has recorded an increase in collections on its second day at the Kerala box office. The film, which released in theatres on April 10, 2026, entered its opening weekend with a noticeable upward trend in earnings.

According to industry tracker AB George, the film collected approximately ₹81 lakh on Day 2 (Saturday), marking a rise from its Day 1 figure of ₹52 lakh. This reflects a growth of over 55 percent between the first two days. With this, the total Kerala gross for the film stands at around ₹1.33 crore after two days of theatrical run.
The increase in collections on Saturday indicates improved footfall compared to the opening day, a pattern commonly seen as films move into the weekend. While the initial numbers remain modest, the Day 2 jump suggests some traction at the box office during its early run.
Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam: Cast, Crew, And Weekend Trend
Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam is a sequel to the 2024 film Bharathanatyam. The film is written and directed by Krishnadas Murali and blends elements of comedy, family drama, and thriller within its narrative. The project is backed by Thomas Thiruvalla Films in association with Saiju Kurup Entertainments.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Jagadish, Vinay Forrt, Baby Jean, Kalaranjini, Sreeja Ravi, and Swathi Das Prabhu, among others. At the centre of the story is a family travelling to Sreekandapuram to settle matters related to the late Bharathan Nair's second family. What begins as a routine journey gradually takes a darker turn when an issue from the past resurfaces. As circumstances escalate, the family finds itself dealing with an unexpected situation that forces them into a difficult position, leading to attempts at concealment and damage control.
The film's technical team includes music by Electronic Kili, cinematography by Bablu Aju, and editing by Shafeeque V B. The narrative combines lighter moments with elements of tension, placing the characters in situations shaped by both emotional and moral challenges.
With Day 3 (Sunday) expected to contribute further to the opening weekend total, the film's immediate trajectory will depend on whether it can sustain or build on the growth seen on its second day. The coming weekdays are likely to offer a clearer picture of its box office performance beyond the initial weekend phase.
