Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam OTT Release: The Malayalam dark comedy thriller Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam is preparing for its OTT release following its theatrical release during the Vishu season. Directed by Krishnadas Murali, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Vishnu R. Pradeep, the film serves as a sequel to Bharathanatyam (2024). The movie features Saiju Kurup, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Jagadish, Vinay Forrt, Baby Jean, Kalaranjini, and Sreeja Ravi in key roles.

Released in theatres on April 10, 2026, the sequel continues exploring family tensions and hidden secrets through a mix of dark humour and thriller elements. The story follows a family travelling to Sreekandapuram to settle matters connected to the late Bharathan Nair's second wife and son. However, their plans take an unexpected turn when an issue linked to Bharathan Nair's past resurfaces, eventually leading to a crime that complicates the situation further.

As pressure begins mounting around the family, they become caught in a difficult attempt to hide the incident while protecting their future. The film moves through secrecy, misunderstandings, and emotional conflicts while balancing suspense with moments of dark comedy. Much of the narrative revolves around how the characters respond to growing tension and the consequences of decisions made under pressure.

Alongside the lead cast, the film also features Swathi Das Prabhu, Nandu Pothuval, Abhiram, Sruthy Suresh, Divya M Nair, Jinil Rexa, Jivin Rexa, Nisthar Sait, Santhosh K Nayar, Balachandran Chullikkad, Sreerekha, Salim Hassan, Vijay Babu, and Jibin Gopinath in supporting roles.

The project has been backed by Thomas Thiruvalla Films in association with Saiju Kurup Entertainments. Lini Mariam David and Anupama B Nambiar are credited as the producers of the film. Bablu Aju handled cinematography, while editing was managed by Shafeeque V B. The music and original score for the film were composed by Electronic Kili.

The technical crew also includes Dhanush Nayanar as sound designer and Vipin Nair as sound mixer. Costumes were designed by Sujith Mattannur, while Diljith M Das worked as the art director. Visual effects for the film were handled by Jobin Joseph.

Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam OTT Release Date And Platform

After its theatrical release in April, Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam is now set for its digital premiere. The Malayalam dark comedy thriller will begin streaming on Netflix from May 8, 2026.

The film will be available not only in Malayalam but also in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The OTT release will allow viewers who missed the theatrical run to watch the sequel online as it joins the growing list of Malayalam films arriving on streaming platforms within weeks of their cinema release.
