Chatha Pacha Box Office Collection Day 1: Arjun Ashokan And Roshan Mathew's Action Film Opens To Solid Start
Chatha Pacha Box Office Collection: Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies made its worldwide theatrical debut on January 22, and early box office figures indicate a steady opening for the Malayalam action film. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected an estimated ₹3.3 crore net in India on its first day. With January 23 marking Day 2 of its theatrical run, the opening-day numbers place the film among the notable Malayalam releases of the season in terms of initial turnout.

Directed by Adhvaith Nayar, Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies is a fast-paced action-comedy set in Fort Kochi. The film revolves around a scrappy group of ex-convicts who start a local wrestling club, setting off intense rivalries and drawing the attention of the authorities. With confrontations unfolding both inside and outside the ring, the story goes beyond the sport, touching on survival, brotherhood, and the personal stakes that come with life in the shadows and the spotlight.
Cast, Technical Team And Early Box Office Trend
The film features Arjun Ashokan in a lead role, alongside Roshan Mathew, Vishak Nair, and Ishan Shoukath. Supporting performances come from Siddique, Sai Kumar, and Lakshmi Menon, with Mammootty appearing in a cameo role.
On the technical front, the project marks the Malayalam cinema debut of the composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, with songs released under the T-Series label. Cinematography is handled by Anend C. Chandran, while editing duties were taken up by Praveen Prabhakar. Action choreography is overseen by Kalai Kingson, aligning with the film's wrestling-based theme.
From a distribution standpoint, Chatha Pacha has seen a wide release strategy. Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films handled distribution in Kerala, while PVR Inox Pictures released the film in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The Plot Pictures managed overseas territories, with Mythri Movie Makers distributing in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Notably, Dharma Productions acquired the theatrical rights for North India, marking its first association with a Malayalam film.
As of Day 1, the reported ₹3.3 crore India net collection reflects initial audience interest, particularly in Kerala. Trade observers will be closely watching how the film performs over the weekend to assess its overall theatrical trajectory. With Day 2 underway, occupancy trends and word-of-mouth are expected to play a key role in determining whether the film sustains its opening momentum in the days ahead.
