Drishyam 3 Audience Review: Netizens Give Mixed Response To Mohanlal Starrer; Here's What They Didn't Like

Drishyam 3 Audience Review: Mohanlal fans are buzzing again as the long-awaited crime thriller Drishyam 3 nears release. The film opens on May 21 in cinemas and will arrive in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, keeping the franchise's pan-India audience in clear focus. The trailer of Drishyam 3 has already sparked intense debate online, with viewers dissecting every frame. Many are fixated on Georgekutty's next move, wondering how Mohanlal's character will navigate fresh trouble and continue shielding the family from the past. Drishyam 3 brings back Mohanlal along with a familiar ensemble, reinforcing continuity in the story. Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Murali Gopy, Siddique, Asha Sarath, Santhi Mayadevi and Veena Nandakumar all return, each reprising established roles that shaped the previous films' tense narrative.

Drishyam 3 Audience Review

The Drishyam series already enjoys a strong following, so expectations for Drishyam 3 remain high. The earlier films built a reputation for layered plotting, which means viewers now look for new twists. Many also compare clues from earlier parts, hoping to predict the new climax. Directed once again by Jeethu Joseph, Drishyam 3 continues the crime thriller template that defines the franchise. The director is known for weaving slow-burn tension. Fans therefore anticipate intricate storytelling, where every small detail around Mohanlal's Georgekutty could impact the final reveal. Mohanlal was last seen in Patriot earlier this year, so Drishyam 3 marks a quick return to screens. With the familiar cast, multiple language release and strong curiosity around Georgekutty's fate, the film stays among the year's most discussed theatrical arrivals. As Drishyam 3 has hit the screens, fans welcomed it with mixed reviews. Here's what the audience didn't like in Mohanlal's Drishyam 3.

Drishyam 3 Audience Review

Taking to the microblogging site Twitter, a user wrote, "#Drishyam3 is a huge disappointment from Jeethu Joseph. What could have been a fresh departure from the earlier films in the franchise ends up as a messy and tiresome watch. Despite all the talk about drama and emotions being the film's core, most scenes feel staged and forced. The climax does not work at all and the attempt or method used to save the daughter is completely ridiculous". Another user gave Drishyam 3 a rating of 2.65 stars and tweeted, "#Drishyam3: It has moments, but doesn't hit the brilliance of first two films. Slow first half & decent interval, an engaging stretch in the second half but the climax loses impact due to a familiar screenplay pattern. Twists feel weaker, P3 is just a filler".

Meanwhile, talking about the climax, Jeethu Joseph told Mathrubhumi, "This film does not have a climax based on hiding a major revelation like exposing the real criminal. Everyone needed for the climax shoot was present on set. Actors and chief technicians were all given the screenplay to read. Naturally, the team too would be curious about the story. During filming, people understand bits and pieces, but since scenes are shot across multiple days, they may not get the complete picture. Cinema is always a collective effort and nothing which causes harm to the project leaks from the team. Even those who shot the famous scene in the first Drishyam - were Georgekutty walks out of the police station carrying a shovel - did not know it was actually part of the climax twist".
