Drishyam 3 Box Office Collection Day 2 Prediction: Mohanlal's Film Heads Towards Rs 90 Crore Worldwide
Drishyam 3 Box Office Collection Day 2 Prediction: The third installment in the Drishyam franchise, Drishyam 3, continued its theatrical run on May 22 with strong occupancy reported from several regions. Starring Mohanlal in the lead role, the Malayalam crime thriller opened in cinemas worldwide on May 21 and has maintained momentum into its second day.

Written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film serves as the sequel to Drishyam 2 (2021) and brings back Georgekutty and his family for another chapter in the franchise. The cast includes Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Murali Gopy, Siddique, and Asha Sarath reprising their roles from the earlier films.
As Day 2 collections continue to build, trade trackers have shared optimistic early estimates regarding the film's worldwide performance. According to box office tracker Jerin Georgekutty, the film is heading towards a global gross in the range of Rs 85 crore to Rs 90 crore within its first two days. The update was shared through an X post on May 22 afternoon, indicating that the film is witnessing a strong response across markets.
Meanwhile, film industry tracker AB George stated on X that Drishyam 3 had crossed Rs 7.35 crore in tracked Day 2 gross collections by 2 PM, with occupancy reportedly remaining above 72 percent till 2 PM. The tracker also noted that evening and night shows were expected to contribute significantly to the film's second-day performance.
Drishyam 3 Box Office Momentum Continues
The film's promotional campaign had already generated discussion among audiences before release. Its trailer, unveiled on May 9, included the line, "You have seen his brilliance. You have witnessed his defence. But you never saw what it cost him," suggesting that the latest chapter would focus on the consequences of Georgekutty's past decisions rather than only the investigation itself.
Drishyam 3 has been produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, with presentation support from Pen Studios and Panorama Studios. The technical crew includes cinematographer Satheesh Kurup, editor Vinayak VS, and music composer Anil Johnson.
With weekend bookings and walk-ins still underway, the film is expected to remain under close watch from trade analysts over the coming days, especially given the franchise's strong following among Malayalam cinema audiences.
