Drishyam 3 Box Office Collection Day 5: Mohanlal's Crime Thriller Crosses ₹156 Crore Worldwide

Drishyam 3 Box Office Collection: The Malayalam crime thriller Drishyam 3 continued its steady theatrical run at the box office after completing five days in cinemas. Starring Mohanlal in the lead role, the film was released on May 21, 2026, and has maintained strong collections in Kerala while also recording collections from its other language releases.

Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the third instalment in the Drishyam franchise collected ₹7.35 crore India net on its fifth day, according to trade tracking website Sacnilk. With this, the film's India net collection has reached ₹61.80 crore. The India gross collection currently stands at ₹71.74 crore.

The overseas market has also contributed significantly to the film's overall performance. On Day 5, the film reportedly earned ₹6 crore overseas, taking its total international gross to ₹84.40 crore. Combined with domestic numbers, the worldwide gross collection has touched ₹156.14 crore within five days of release.

Among the language versions released across India, the Malayalam version remained the major contributor on Monday, collecting ₹6.45 crore from 2,694 shows with an occupancy of 48 percent. The Telugu version added ₹0.55 crore, while the Tamil version earned ₹0.25 crore. The Kannada version contributed ₹0.10 crore to the overall Day 5 total.

The film opened with ₹15.85 crore on its first day and continued to register double-digit collections over the weekend. It collected ₹11.05 crore on Friday, followed by ₹13.70 crore on Saturday and ₹13.85 crore on Sunday before witnessing the expected weekday drop on Monday. Even with the dip, the film has remained stable at the box office, and Day 6 collections are currently underway on May 26.

Set years after the events of the previous film, Drishyam 3 follows Georgekutty as the consequences of the Varun case continue to affect his family. After adapting the novel based on his own life into a successful film, Georgekutty once again comes under renewed scrutiny, while unresolved tensions and lingering suspicions connected to the past create fresh challenges for his family.

Apart from Mohanlal, the film also features Meena, Siddique, Asha Sarath, Murali Gopy, Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil reprising their roles from the earlier films in the franchise.
