Early trade discussions on social media suggest that the film has recorded notable advance bookings across the UK and Ireland regions ahead of its release. A post shared on X by trade tracker Jerin Georgekutty on Thursday morning claimed that the film had registered "sensational advances" in the territory and indicated that the opening collection from the regions could reach the Rs 6-7 crore range if audience reception remains favourable through the day.

Drishyam 3: Strong Overseas Buzz Ahead Of Release

While official figures are yet to be released by the makers, overseas pre-release buzz for the film had been visible in the days leading up to release, especially among Malayalam cinema audiences abroad. The Drishyam franchise has historically enjoyed a strong following outside India, with the earlier films also receiving substantial response from Gulf countries, Europe, and North America.

Produced by Aashirvad Cinemas, Drishyam 3 continues the story of Georgekutty and his family following the events shown in the earlier installments. According to the makers, the new film further explores themes connected to truth, deception, and the long-term consequences of past decisions.

The trailer, released on May 9, hinted at a more emotionally layered continuation of the story. One of the lines from the promotional material, "You have seen his brilliance. You have witnessed his defence. But you never saw what it cost him", suggested that the third installment may focus more deeply on the personal impact of Georgekutty's actions over the years.

Along with Mohanlal, the film features returning cast members including Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Siddique, Asha Sarath and Murali Gopy reprising their roles from the earlier films.

The project has been backed by producer Antony Perumbavoor, with cinematography by Satheesh Kurup, editing by Vinayak VS, and music composed by Anil Johnson.

As the film continues its first day in cinemas globally, attention is now on audience reactions and the official box office numbers. Trade observers will also closely watch whether Drishyam 3 can surpass the overseas success achieved by the first Drishyam film.
