Drishyam 3 Cast Salary: Mohanlal Reportedly Gets Major Pay Hike For Jeethu Joseph's Malayalam Crime Thriller

Drishyam 3 Cast Salary: The much-awaited Malayalam crime thriller Drishyam 3 is set to hit theatres on May 21, 2026, bringing back Georgekutty and his family for another chapter in the popular franchise. Directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas, the film marks the third instalment in the Drishyam series that began in 2013.

Ahead of the film's release, reports about the remuneration of the lead cast members have drawn attention online. According to a report published by Times Now News on May 18, Mohanlal has reportedly charged around Rs 20 crore for Drishyam 3. The reported figure is said to be significantly higher than his remuneration for the earlier films in the franchise.

As per the report, Mohanlal had reportedly earned between Rs 5 crore and Rs 6 crore for the first Drishyam film released in 2013. His remuneration reportedly increased to around Rs 10 crore to Rs 12 crore for Drishyam 2, which premiered in 2021. For the upcoming third part, the actor's reported remuneration appears to have increased further.

The report also mentioned the salaries of other principal cast members returning to the franchise. Meena, who reprises the role of Rani, reportedly charged between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 25 lakh during the earlier films. Her remuneration for Drishyam 3 is now speculated to be around Rs 75 lakh.

Meanwhile, Esther Anil, who plays Anu George, has reportedly received around Rs 25 lakh for the franchise overall. Actress Ansiba Hassan, who returns as Anju George, has reportedly charged Rs 1 crore for the third instalment, according to the same report.

Drishyam 3 Backed By Mohanlal's Home Banner Aashirvad Cinemas

Aashirvad Cinemas, the banner backing the film, has long been associated with Mohanlal and producer Antony Perumbavoor, with the company having produced several films starring the actor over the years. The banner, founded by Antony Perumbavoor and Mohanlal, is also widely regarded as Mohanlal's home production company. Meanwhile, the reported remuneration figures have not been officially confirmed by the makers. Mohanlal's association with the production banner also means his involvement with the film may not necessarily be limited to a conventional acting salary arrangement.

Apart from Mohanlal, Meena, Esther Anil, and Ansiba Hassan, the film's cast also includes Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, and others.

The upcoming film has been written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, with cinematography handled by Satheesh Kurup and music composed by Anil Johnson. Editing has been done by Vinayak VS.

With the release date approaching, Drishyam 3 is expected to continue the story from the events of the second film, which followed Georgekutty's attempts to protect his family after a crime investigation reopened years later.
