Drishyam 3 OTT Release: The much-awaited Malayalam crime thriller Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal in the lead role, is gearing up for its theatrical release on May 21, 2026. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film marks the third chapter in the popular Drishyam franchise and continues the story of Georgekutty and his family following the events of Drishyam and Drishyam 2.

Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, the film brings back several familiar faces from the earlier installments, including Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Siddique, Asha Sharath, and Murali Gopy. The project is presented by Pen Studios and Panorama Studios.

Ahead of the film's release, discussions around its post-theatrical streaming plans have also intensified. The original Drishyam (2013) remains available for streaming on JioHotstar, while Drishyam 2 premiered directly on Prime Video in 2021 during the pandemic period. With the third installment heading to theatres first, the film's theatrical performance is likely to influence its eventual streaming timeline.

As for the OTT release, Drishyam 3 is expected to stream on Prime Video after completing its theatrical run. While an official streaming date has not yet been announced, reports suggest that the makers are likely to maintain a theatrical window of around 30 to 35 days. If that schedule is followed, the film could arrive on the platform by the end of June or in early July 2026.

Drishyam 3 OTT Rights

In April, a public notice related to the film's digital rights was issued by Amazon Seller Services Private Limited. It stated that it holds the exclusive digital rights for Drishyam 3 in Malayalam. The company also cautioned third parties against entering into any unauthorized agreements involving the film's streaming or digital distribution rights.

The development came amid reports suggesting that discussions were taking place with other platforms regarding the movie's streaming deal. Media reports later indicated that legal proceedings related to the rights issue reached the Delhi High Court, where interim relief was reportedly granted in connection with the digital rights of the Drishyam franchise.

The notice further mentioned that Amazon holds the movie's digital rights across various formats, including subscription video-on-demand and transactional video services. It also warned of possible legal action in case of any alleged infringement involving the film's OTT rights.

The technical crew of Drishyam 3 includes cinematographer Satheesh Kurup, editor Vinayak VS, music composer Anil Johnson, production designer Prashant Madhav, and sound designer Sinoy Joseph.
