Drishyam 3 Worldwide Advance Booking Collection Day 1: Remember Jeethu Joseph's much popular Drishyam series? The franchise is known for its intriguing crime thriller starring Mohanlal in the lead and it has left everyone intrigued along with being huge success at the box office. After the massive success of 2013 release Drishyam and 2021 release Drishyam 2, everyone has been eagerly waiting for Drishyam 3. And now, the wait is all set to be over as Jeethu Joseph and Mohanlal are coming back for the much talked about Drishyam 3 and we can't keep calm about it.

Touted to be the third installment of the Drishyam series, Drishyam 3 will feature Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Murali Gopy, Siddique, Asha Sarath, Santhi Mayadevi and Veena Nandakumar reprising their roles from previous films. The cast, the trailer and the hype around the franchise has undoubtedly made it one of the most anticipated releases of the year. While the makers have begun the advance booking well in advance across the world, Drishyam 3 had witnessed a phenomenal response.

As per a tweet shared AB George, Drishyam 3 has managed to rake in Rs 21cr from presales worldwide for the opening day so far a day before the release

Interestingly, Drishyam 3 has managed to surpass the worldwide advance booking collection of Marakkar which was Rs 20.4cr and is now set to beat worldwide presales of Patriot (Rs 21.15cr). As a result, Drishyam 3 will record the second highest worldwide advance booking collection after L2: Empuraan which earned over Rs 52.50cr from advance booking for the opening day

Meanwhile, talking about the idea behind Drishyam 3, Jeethu Joseph told Mathrubhumi, "Even while finishing the second part, I had thoughts about a continuation. Lalettan (Mohanlal) watched Drishyam 2 in my home theatre before OTT release. Perhaps because of the way the second part ended, he asked whether there was scope for a third part. I didn't know then if a third instalment would happen, but I shared some thoughts with him about how I would want the story to end if there was another continuation. I told him what kind of climax Georgekutty's next arrival should have. Lalettan liked it and said, "Write it and if it works, we'll move ahead." That conversation became the starting point. Later, many discussions followed, and eventually it evolved into the third part".
