Ganesh Kumar Faces Allegations: Wife Calls Police Claiming She Saw Him In A Situation She Shouldn't Have
Ganesh Kumar Faces Allegations As Wife Seeks Police Help: Kerala Transport Minister K. B. Ganesh Kumar has come under scrutiny following allegations related to an incident reportedly involving his wife at the family residence in Valakom. According to a report by Mathrubhumi.com, the minister's wife sought police assistance after claiming she witnessed him in a situation she believed he should not have been seen in, leading to a confrontation at the house.

The incident is said to have taken place around 2 pm on Saturday. As reported by Mathrubhumi, the minister's wife arrived unexpectedly at the family home in Valakom and allegedly encountered Ganesh Kumar in a situation she believed she was not supposed to witness. She reportedly began taking photographs at the scene. The report further states that some of the minister's close associates intervened and allegedly attempted to stop her and take away her mobile phone.
The situation reportedly escalated when the minister's wife contacted former Director General of Police R. Sreelekha, who is her sister-in-law, according to the report. Sreelekha currently serves as a councillor and is associated with the BJP. After hearing about the developments, Sreelekha is said to have advised her to seek help through the government's emergency helpline number 112.
Following that advice, the minister's wife reportedly contacted the 112 emergency response service, which is coordinated through the police headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram. According to the account cited by Mathrubhumi, she informed the authorities about the seriousness of the situation and sought assistance. Police personnel are said to have reached the location shortly afterward. However, it has been alleged that the officers did not intervene and showed reluctance to act.
The report further states that after the police withdrew, the minister's wife went back inside the house and continued to take photographs. At that point, it is alleged that the minister directed two associates, identified as Pradeep and Shantan, to take her mobile phone. The report claims that the two individuals tried to seize the device after locking the door, but she resisted handing it over.
During the confrontation, she reportedly called out for help. Amid the struggle, she managed to open the door and step outside. According to the report, when she realised that the police were no longer present near the premises, she left the location in the taxi she had arrived in.
When contacted by Mathrubhumi, Ganesh Kumar's wife reportedly declined to confirm or deny the allegations. However, former DGP R. Sreelekha told the publication that she had indeed received a phone call from the minister's wife around 2 pm on Saturday. Sreelekha said she advised her to immediately contact the 112 emergency helpline after hearing about the situation. She also clarified that she spoke to her not in any official capacity but as a relative.
Responding to the allegations, Ganesh Kumar denied the claims and said that false propaganda was being spread against him in cyberspace. Speaking to the media, the minister described the allegations as politically motivated and said that personal attacks should not be encouraged.
