Karakkam OTT Release Date: After completing its theatrical run, Karakkam is now set to make its digital debut. The Malayalam film, featuring Sreenath Bhasi in the lead role, blends horror, comedy and music while centring its story on a supernatural incident triggered by an ill-advised prank. Directed by Subhash Lalitha Subrahmanian, the film hit theatres on May 28, 2026, and will soon be available for streaming.

Directed by Subhash Lalitha Subrahmanian from a screenplay co-written with Nipin Narayanan and Arjun Narayanan, Karakkam is based on a story by Dhanush Varghese. The film was produced by Kimberly G. Trinidade and Ankush Singh under the banners of Krown Stars Entertainment and Black Turtle Productions. Sam C. S. composed the songs and background score, while Bablu Aju handled cinematography and Nidhin Raj Arol took charge of editing.

The story unfolds on New Year's Eve when two carefree youngsters remove five brass crosses from a church cemetery as part of a reckless prank. Their actions awaken five vengeful spirits, forcing them to find a way to undo the consequences of their prank. What begins as mischief gradually turns into a desperate attempt to reverse their mistake, leading the pair through a series of supernatural encounters mixed with comic situations and musical sequences.

Sreenath Bhasi plays Dhanush, while Femina George appears as Pinki. The supporting cast includes Praveen T. J. as Khaja, Abhiram Radhakrishnan as Nakulan, Shaun Romy as Rani Maria, and Sidharth Bharathan as Inspector Kunjan Nambiar. The ensemble also features Bijukuttan, Midhutty, Manikandan R. Achari and Jean Paul Lal in key roles.

The film blends horror, comedy and music into a single narrative, with supernatural incidents unfolding alongside comic situations and musical sequences.
