Karuppu Kerala Box Office Collection Day 3 Update: Suriya Film Records Strong Weekend Momentum

Karuppu Kerala Box Office Collection: The Tamil action drama Karuppu, starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, has continued its theatrical run with steady momentum in Kerala during its opening weekend. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film released worldwide on May 15 and has been registering consistent collections in the state over its first few days.

According to a box office update shared by trade tracker Jerin Georgekutty on May 17, Karuppu has collected approximately ₹4.26 crore gross in Kerala by the end of its first two days in theatres. The distributor share is said to be around ₹1.92 crore during the same period.

The report also noted that the film's theatrical rights in Kerala were valued at approximately ₹3.50 crore. Based on the current trend, the recovery rate has reportedly reached nearly 55 percent within two days of release.

In addition to the Day 2 update, the tracker indicated that the film was witnessing strong Sunday occupancy as well. Real-time estimates shared around 12:27 PM on May 17 suggested that the Day 3 Kerala gross had already crossed ₹1.20 crore by noon shows, indicating continued audience turnout across several centres.

While official figures from the makers are yet to be released, the early box office performance suggests that the film has maintained a solid opening weekend run in Kerala.

Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, Karuppu features an ensemble cast including RJ Balaji, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Anagha Maya Ravi and Supreeth Reddy in supporting roles.

The screenplay was co-written by RJ Balaji along with Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer G. K. Vishnu, editor R. Kalaivanan and music composer Sai Abhyankkar.

With Sunday collections still progressing, trade observers are expected to closely monitor whether Karuppu can sustain its current trend during the weekdays and move toward breakeven in Kerala in the coming days.
