Kattalan Box Office Collection Day 4: Antony Varghese's Film Sees Earnings Dip Over Opening Weekend
Kattalan Box Office Collection: Malayalam action thriller Kattalan, headlined by Antony Varghese, completed four days in theatres on Sunday, May 31. The film, which arrived on the big screen on May 28, is written and directed by Paul George and produced by Shareef Muhammed under the Cubes Entertainments banner.

According to box office tracking website Sacnilk, Kattalan earned an estimated ₹0.61 crore net in India on its fourth day. With this, the film's total India net collection has reached approximately ₹7.29 crore, while its India gross earnings stand at around ₹8.39 crore after four days of theatrical run.
The latest figures indicate that the film's strongest performance came on its opening day, followed by a gradual decline in collections over the next three days. Kattalan opened with ₹3.80 crore net on Thursday before collecting ₹1.60 crore on Friday. The film added ₹1.28 crore on Saturday and ₹0.61 crore on Sunday, taking its cumulative total to ₹7.29 crore net in India.
The number of shows and occupancy figures also reflected the trend. On Day 1, the film was screened across 3,358 shows and recorded an overall occupancy of 27.8 percent. By Day 4, the show count had reduced to 1,322, while occupancy stood at 14.4 percent.
A language-wise breakdown of Sunday's collections shows that the Malayalam version remained the primary contributor. The Malayalam release generated an estimated ₹0.52 crore net from 865 shows and recorded an occupancy of 13 percent. Meanwhile, the Telugu version contributed ₹0.09 crore net from 457 shows with an occupancy of 17 percent.
With Day 5 collections currently underway on Monday, attention will now shift to how the film performs during the weekdays. The coming days are expected to provide a clearer picture of its theatrical trajectory after the opening weekend.
