Muthassi OTT Release Date: The Malayalam entertainment space is set to welcome another horror-themed title with Muthassi, an upcoming web series that combines elements of folklore, mystery and the supernatural. Featuring Amith Chakalakkal and Akhila Bhargavan in pivotal roles alongside veteran actor KPAC Leela, the series explores a family caught in the grip of an ancient curse. Written and directed by Nandulal M. S., Muthassi is scheduled to make its digital debut this week.

Set in a secluded village where old beliefs continue to shape everyday life, the story revolves around a mother confronted with an unimaginable challenge after her son begins exhibiting disturbing changes linked to a dark ancestral curse. As unexplained events unfold, the family is forced to confront long-buried secrets while trying to break a cycle that threatens to consume future generations. The narrative blends horror with mystery while drawing from local folklore and traditional legends.

The series stars KPAC Leela in the titular role of Muthassi, with Amith Chakalakkal portraying Rajan and Akhila Bhargavan appearing as Leela. Orhan Hyder is also part of the principal cast. The central conflict focuses on the emotional bond between a mother and her son against the backdrop of supernatural forces, creating a story that mixes family drama with horror.

Muthassi has been written and directed by Nandulal M. S. and produced by Christopher Warren Alexander under the banner of Single Take Creations. The technical crew includes cinematographer Prakash Velayudhan, editor Ratheesh Mohanan and music composer Vishnu Sekhara. Makeup is handled by Pattanam Rasheed, while Roni Rajan serves as the art director. The action sequences are choreographed by Brusely Rajesh, with costumes designed by Soorya Sekhar.
