Pallichattambi Morning Occupancy Day 1: Tovino’s Film Sees Double Footfalls Than Narivetta; Fails To Earn 50L

Pallichattambi Morning Occupancy Day 1: Tovino Thomas is one of the most talked about and loved stars in the Malayalam stars and there are no second thoughts about it. He has been ruling hearts for a decade and has given us several iconic films including Kurup, 2018, Forensic, etc. And now, he is making headlines for his first release of the year. We are talking about Pallichattambi which is a period action drama. The movie is helmed by Dijo Jose Antony and written by S. Suresh Babu.

Apart from Tovino Thomas, Pallichattambi also features Kayadu Lohar, Vijayaraghavan, Siddique, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Alexander Prasanth, Midhun Venugopal, and Eldho Mathew in key roles. And To note, Pallichattambi is set in the 1950s-60s Idukki and revolves around a fearless man who rose to challenge tyranny and social oppression at a time when superstition and feudal control were rampant. While the trailer and cast has managed to create a massive buzz in the town, Pallichattambi has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. And now that it has hit the screens, it opened to good start.

Pallichattambi Morning Occupancy Day 1

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Pallichattambi saw an occupancy of 32.25% on day 1 during morning shows. Interestingly, it has seen twice the footfalls of Tovino's previous release Narivetta which happens to be 14.92%

Pallichattambi Box Office Collection Day 1 (Morning Trend)

Despite a good start, Pallichattambi has failed to touch Rs 50 lakhs during the morning shows. In fact, the movie earned Rs 40 lakhs on day 1 during the morning shows. It will be interesting to see if Pallichattambi will be able to beat the opening day collection of Narivetta which happens to be Rs 1.65cr.

Meanwhile, talking about the movie, Tovino told The Screen, "We took inspiration from real-life incidents. But it's not a particular incident we want to bring into light. We wanted to add fiction". He further emphasised that Pallichattambi has all the elements of being a family entertainer with emotion and action.
