Patriot Advance Booking: Mammootty-Mohanlal’s Film Crosses ₹3.5 Cr In Kerala, Nears ₹9 Cr Worldwide Pre-Sales

Patriot Advance Booking: The advance booking momentum for Patriot, the upcoming Malayalam action thriller starring Mammootty and Mohanlal, continues to grow ahead of its theatrical release on May 1, 2026. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the film has already entered the list of top day-one pre-sales performers in Kerala box office history.

According to box office tracker Jerin Georgekutty, Patriot crossed ₹3.50 crore in Kerala pre-sales within just 32 hours and 16 minutes of bookings opening. In a post shared on X on April 29 at 6:35 PM, he stated that the film achieved the milestone in 1,936 minutes, making it the fourth fastest film to reach that mark in Kerala box office history.

He also noted that the film's worldwide advance bookings were nearing the ₹9 crore mark, indicating strong anticipation for the release across markets.

Earlier in the day, at 10:48 AM, the tracker had reported that Patriot crossed ₹3 crore in Kerala opening day pre-sales within 25 hours and 17 minutes. This also placed the film as the fourth fastest to achieve the ₹3 crore advance booking benchmark, behind only Empuraan, Leo, and Coolie.

Another update shared later in the afternoon placed Patriot among the highest day-one pre-sales earners in Kerala. At that point, the film had recorded ₹3.36 crore for its opening day with around one and a half days still left for final bookings. The list was led by Empuraan with ₹12.40 crore, followed by Leo with ₹8.80 crore and Coolie with ₹8.02 crore.

Mammootty-Mohanlal Reunion Drives Buzz Ahead Of Patriot Release

The film has drawn attention largely because it marks the on-screen reunion of Mammootty and Mohanlal after 13 years since Kadal Kadannu Oru Maathukutty (2013). The large ensemble cast also includes Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, Revathi, Darshana Rajendran, Rajiv Menon, Grace Antony, Indrans, Prakash Belawadi, Vineeth Thattil David, and others.

In the film, Mammootty plays Dr. Daniel James, while Mohanlal appears as Col. Rahim Naik. Fahadh Faasil plays Shakthi Sundaram and Kunchacko Boban takes on the role of Michael Devassy.

Patriot is written, co-edited, and directed by Mahesh Narayanan and produced by Anto Joseph and K. G. Anil Kumar. The music and original background score are composed by Sushin Shyam, while cinematography is handled by Manush Nandan.

With bookings still open and strong momentum continuing, trade watchers are now looking at where Patriot will finish in the final day-one advance sales ranking before its worldwide release this Friday.
