Patriot Box Office Collection Day 1 Early Updates: After nearly two decades, Malayalam cinema witnesses a historic reunion as two of its biggest icons, Mohanlal and Mammootty, come together for Patriot, a high-stakes spy thriller that has already set the industry abuzz. Marking one of the most anticipated Mollywood releases of the year, the film arrived in theatres today (May 1) amid massive hype and sky-high expectations from fans.

From fan celebrations outside theatres to houseful shows in key centres, Patriot has clearly tapped into the excitement of audiences.

Headlined by Mammootty, with Mohanlal playing a key role, Patriot boasts a star-studded ensemble featuring Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, Darshana Rajendran, Revathi, and Rajiv Menon, among others.
According to reports by Asianet News, the film has reportedly been mounted on a massive budget of around ₹125 crore, making it one of the most expensive Malayalam productions to date. Meanwhile, as per Kerala TV, Patriot has already locked its OTT and satellite deal with Zee Entertainment Enterprises, with ZEE5 set to premiere the film digitally after its theatrical run concludes.
Patriot Box Office Collection Day 1 Early Trend (Opening Day)
Helmed by Mahesh Narayanan, Patriot opened to packed screens and strong early occupancy, signalling a promising start at the box office. Early estimates suggest that the Mohanlal-Mammootty starrer is on track to register a strong first-day collection.
According to real-time data from Sacnilk, Patriot has so far managed to collect approximately ₹4.58 cr net in India as of 5:00 PM on its opening day. This takes the film's total India gross to around ₹5.40 cr till now.

Patriot Vs L2 Empuraan Box Office
Patriot has managed to edge past L2: Empuraan in terms of opening day both morning and afternoon occupancy. As per data from Sacnilk, L2: Empuraan had recorded around 65.67% morning occupancy, followed by 62.08% afternoon footfalls, in Malayalam on its release day.
In terms of collections, L2: Empuraan went on to post a massive ₹18.60 crore net in Kerala on Day 1.
