Patriot Early Review: Patriot, the upcoming Malayalam spy action thriller directed by Mahesh Narayanan, is gearing up for its worldwide theatrical release on May 1, 2026. With just days left for release, early industry chatter around the film has started drawing attention, especially after a recent update shared by film industry tracker AB George on social media.

In an X post shared on April 25 at 5:23 PM, AB George stated that the overseas censoring process for Patriot was progressing area by area and nearing completion. He also noted that initial reports suggest the film has "come out well," indicating a positive early response from those associated with the censoring process.

His post read: "#Patriot overseas censoring - all areas completing one by one & reports suggest that the movie comes out well. Meaty role & duration for both Ms. #Mammookka #Lalettan."

The mention of "both Ms" refers to lead stars Mammootty and Mohanlal, whose collaboration in the film has been one of the major talking points among Malayalam cinema audiences. According to the update, both actors are expected to have substantial screen presence and significant roles in the narrative.

Patriot is written, co-edited, and directed by Mahesh Narayanan and is produced by Anto Joseph and K. G. Anil Kumar. The film brings together a large ensemble cast that includes Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathy in prominent roles.

As per the announced cast details, Mammootty plays Dr. Daniel James, while Mohanlal appears as Colonel Rahim Naik.
