Patriot OTT Release Date: The Malayalam political action thriller Patriot is preparing for its digital release following its theatrical release earlier this month. Written, directed, and co-edited by Mahesh Narayanan, the film arrived in cinemas worldwide on May 1, 2026, featuring an ensemble cast led by Mammootty, Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil, and Kunchacko Boban.

Set against the backdrop of political surveillance and digital espionage, Patriot revolves around the fallout from a controversial spyware system known as Periscope. The story follows defence scientist Daniel James as he becomes involved in a widening scandal linked to illegal monitoring operations targeting civilians, journalists, and activists. As the situation escalates with allegations of corruption, misuse of technology, and political influence, the film explores questions surrounding privacy, state power, and public accountability.

The narrative unfolds across multiple locations in India and London, combining elements of political drama, investigative thriller, and action. The film also features performances by Nayanthara, Revathi, Darshana Rajendran, and Rajiv Menon in key roles.

Patriot was produced by Anto Joseph and K. G. Anil Kumar, with C. R. Saleem and Subhash George Manuel serving as co-producers. The film's music and original score were composed by Sushin Shyam, while cinematography was handled by Manush Nandan. Mahesh Narayanan shared editing credits with Rahul Radhakrishnan.

The project also brought together a large technical crew, including production designers Shajie Naduvil and Jibin Jacob, sound designer Vishnu Govind, and action choreographers Dhilip Subbarayan, Stunt Silva, Mafia Sasi, Riyaz-Habib, and Mahesh Mathew. Following speculation about the film's OTT release, streaming platform ZEE5 has officially announced the digital premiere date through its social media handles. According to the platform, Patriot will begin streaming from June 5, 2026. The film will be available in Malayalam along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

The announcement from ZEE5 described the film as a spy political thriller centred on "power, politics and secrets," while also highlighting the presence of Malayalam cinema's leading stars in the cast. With its theatrical release concluding in several regions, the film is now set to reach a wider audience through streaming in multiple languages.
