Patriot OTT Release Date: Mahesh Narayanan's Patriot is a Malayalam action thriller featuring an ensemble cast that includes Mammootty, Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, Revathi, Darshana Rajendran and Rajiv Menon. The film was released in theatres worldwide on May 1, 2026.

Written, co-edited and directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the film is backed by producers Anto Joseph and K. G. Anil Kumar. The project brought together several leading actors from Malayalam cinema in a story that revolves around surveillance technology, political influence and questions surrounding digital privacy.

The narrative follows Daniel James, a defence scientist who becomes involved in a growing controversy linked to a government-supported spyware system known as Periscope. The issue escalates when evidence allegedly points to the surveillance of civilians, journalists and activists. As concerns over privacy violations begin to surface, Daniel finds himself investigating attempts to place the technology under the control of a private corporation connected to powerful political figures.

As the story unfolds, a series of suspicious incidents, leaked information and alleged cover-ups deepen the crisis. Daniel joins forces with individuals who possess insider knowledge as well as cybersecurity experts in an effort to uncover the truth behind the operation. The events take the characters across multiple locations, including India and London, while exploring themes such as political power, corruption, state surveillance and public accountability.

Patriot features a technical crew that includes composer Sushin Shyam, cinematographer Manush Nandan and editor Rahul Radhakrishnan, with Mahesh Narayanan also serving as co-editor. The production additionally featured action sequences designed by a team that included Dhilip Subbarayan, Stunt Silva, Mafia Sasi, Riyaz-Habib and Mahesh Mathew.
