Prathichaya Kerala Box Office Collection: The Malayalam political thriller Prathichaya, starring Nivin Pauly and directed by B. Unnikrishnan, has begun its theatrical run with a measured opening at the Kerala box office. The film hit screens on March 26, has now completed its first day in theatres, and entered Day 2 on March 27, with initial figures offering an early look at its performance.

According to data reported by the box office tracking platform WhatTheFuss, from 714 shows across Kerala, on its opening day (Thursday), the film registered a footfall of 34,718 admissions, translating to an estimated collection of ₹62.94 lakh. The overall occupancy for Day 1 stood at 21.94%, indicating a modest turnout.
As is often the case with film releases, the numbers are expected to fluctuate over the opening weekend. With Friday (Day 2) and the subsequent weekend days ahead, trade observers will be watching closely to see whether the film picks up momentum through word of mouth and increased footfall.
Prathichaya: Story, Cast, and Crew Details
Prathichaya is positioned as a political thriller set against a backdrop of power struggles and allegations. The narrative follows the son of a Kerala chief minister who becomes entangled in a complex web of conspiracy after his father's reputation is tarnished by serious accusations. Backed by producer Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies in association with RD Illuminations LLP, the project brings together a technical team that includes cinematographer Chandru Selvaraj and composer Justin Varghese. Editing is handled by Manoj, while production design is by Shajie Naduvil.
