Santhosh Nair Dies in Road Accident: Malayalam actor Santhosh K. Nair died following a road accident in Kerala's Pathanamthitta district, bringing an abrupt end to a career that spanned decades across cinema and television. He was undergoing treatment after sustaining injuries in the crash when his condition worsened.

According to details reported by Manorama Online, the accident took place at Enathu, where the car in which the actor was travelling collided with a lorry. He had suffered serious injuries in the impact, and during the course of treatment, he reportedly experienced a heart attack.
A separate report by Asianet News stated that the accident occurred early in the morning, around 6:30 a.m., on the MC Road near Enathu, Adoor. The vehicle is said to have gone out of control before crashing into a parcel lorry. He was initially taken to a nearby hospital in Adoor, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The report also identified his wife, Rajalakshmi, and the lorry driver, Sudheesh, among those injured in the accident.
From 'Ithu Njangalude Katha' to 'Mohiniyattam': A Career Spanning Over 100 Films
Santhosh Nair had a long association with Malayalam cinema, having appeared in more than 100 films over the years. He took on a variety of roles, including antagonist, lead, supporting, and comedic characters, establishing himself as a familiar presence on screen. He began his film career with Ithu Njangalude Katha in 1982, marking his entry into the industry at a relatively young age.
His latest appearance was in Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam, which is currently running in theatres and is now noted as his final film. Over time, he also became a recognizable face on television, further expanding his reach among audiences.
Born on November 12, 1960, in Thiruvananthapuram, Santhosh Nair was the son of C.N. Kesavan Nair and P. Rajalakshmi Amma. He studied at MG College, where he was a junior to actor Mohanlal.
