Vaazha 2 Box Office Collection: The Malayalam film Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros continued its theatrical run with steady growth through its opening weekend, registering its highest single-day collection so far on Day 3 (Saturday, April 4). The film, which released on April 2, has shown an upward trend across its initial days, reflecting improving footfall in theatres.

Vaazha 2 Box Office Day 3 Hits 17 Cr India Net

According to estimates reported by box office tracking platform Sacnilk, the film collected approximately ₹7.00 crore net in India on its third day from 1,629 shows. This marks a noticeable increase from its Day 2 figures, indicating a typical weekend jump. With this, the total India net collection stands at ₹17.00 crore, while the India gross has reached ₹19.72 crore.

The film has also maintained a steady performance in overseas markets. On Day 3 alone, it reportedly earned ₹10.00 crore overseas, taking its cumulative international gross to ₹23.25 crore. Combining both domestic and overseas earnings, Vaazha 2 has grossed around ₹42.97 crore worldwide in three days.

The occupancy rate has also seen consistent growth. The film recorded about 64% occupancy on its opening day (Thursday), which increased to 74% on Friday and further climbed to 78% on Saturday. The rise in both occupancy and show count suggests expanding audience interest as the weekend progressed.

Vaazha 2 Cast and Story: Film Eyes Strong Sunday

Directed by Savin SA and written by Vipin Das, Vaazha 2 is a sequel to the 2024 film Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys. The film features Hashir H, Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy, and Vinayak V in central roles, alongside a supporting cast that includes Veda Shankar, Alphonse Puthren, Aju Varghese, Vijay Babu, Bijukuttan, and Sudheesh.

The narrative follows four friends often labelled as underachievers by their families and institutions. As they transition into adulthood, they navigate expectations, societal pressure, and personal struggles, leading them toward a path of self-realisation and acceptance.

With Sunday (Day 4) expected to benefit from the weekend momentum, trade observers will be watching closely to see whether the film can sustain its upward trend and cross key milestones in its opening weekend. The coming weekdays will be crucial in determining its hold at the box office.
