Vaazha 2 Kerala Box Office Day 23 Prediction: Will It Overtake Thudarum & Lokah To Become New Industry Hit?

Vaazha 2 Kerala Box Office Prediction: The Malayalam film Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros continues its strong theatrical run in Kerala, with the sequel now moving closer to becoming one of the highest-grossing films in the state's box office history. Released on April 2, 2026, the film entered Day 23 of its theatrical run on Friday (April 24), maintaining steady collections and drawing attention for its record-chasing performance.

According to box office tracker Jerin Georgekutty, the film has collected approximately ₹118.68 crore gross in Kerala over its first 22 days. The tracker noted that Vaazha 2 is expected to surpass the final Kerala gross of Thudarum, which stands at ₹118.90 crore, by the end of Day 23. If that happens, the film would move to the second spot among the all-time highest-grossing Malayalam releases in Kerala.

At present, Lokah reportedly holds the top position with ₹121.90 crore gross in Kerala, while Thudarum is placed second. With only around ₹3.23 crore more needed to cross Lokah, trade watchers are closely following the film's weekend performance to see whether it can emerge as the new industry topper.

Film industry tracker AB George also shared similar projections, stating that Vaazha 2 is on course to overtake both Thudarum and Lokah in the coming days if the current momentum continues. The tracker described the box office run as one of the notable developments in the Malayalam film trade this year.

Vaazha 2 Plot, Cast And Box Office Trend

Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros is a sequel to Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys, which was released in 2024. Positioned as an action-comedy family drama, the film follows the journey of four friends, Hashir, Alan, Ajin, and Vinayak, who are often labelled as underachievers and troublemakers by their families, teachers, and society.

As they step into adulthood, they face growing expectations and personal setbacks, forcing them to reassess their lives and responsibilities. The story focuses on their emotional journey toward self-discovery, acceptance, and finding peace on their own terms rather than through conventional definitions of success.

The film features Hashir H, Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy, and Vinayak V in central roles, along with Alphonse Puthren, Aju Varghese, Vijay Babu, Bijukuttan, and Sudheesh in supporting parts.
