Helmed by Girish A. D., renowned for his work in "Thanneer Mathan Dinangal," "Premalu" is the fifth project produced by Bhavana Studios. This marks Girish's third directorial venture and his second collaboration with Naslen and Mamitha. It's worth mentioning that Naslen and Mamitha shared the screen before in Girish's second directorial, "Super Sharanya."

Premalu, a standout Malayalam release from February, continues to make waves at the box office, now expanding its success to international markets, particularly in the UK. Released on February 9th, the film premiered not only in Kerala but also in various other states and overseas territories simultaneously. Remarkably, within just 12 days, Premalu has amassed a staggering global box office collection of 50 crores. Its remarkable performance has propelled it to the second position among all-time top-grossing Malayalam films in the UK, surpassing even the renowned Mohanlal-Prithviraj starrer, Lucifer, which now holds the third spot. Topping this list is Jude Anthany Joseph's '2018,' centred on the Kerala flood. As of now, Premalu's UK box office earnings stand at 2.87 crores, while '2018' holds a lifetime collection of 7.0 crores in the UK. Notably, Yash Raj Films, a prominent Bollywood studio, holds the distribution rights for Premalu in the UK and Europe.
Premalu Cast And Crew
Premalu features a cast that includes Althaf Salim, Shyam Mohan M., Akhila Bhargavan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Sangeeth Prathap, and Shameer Khan, among others.
Described as a romantic comedy, Premalu boasts a script co-written by Gireesh and Kiran Josey. The film's technical crew includes Ajmal Sabu as the cinematographer, Akash Joseph Varghese as the editor, and Vishnu Vijay as the music composer.
