The director of the movie is really a political leader of Kerala who tries to show the frequent suicides among the farmers living in the state. Farmers in Malabar state are struggling and suffering due to the crisis caused by spoilage of the crops. They need bank loans and other facilities provided by the government.
The lead character, played by Prithviraj, is that of a TV reporter who works for the improvement of the society.
Nandakumar, a top ranker in the IAS selection process, gives up the profession and chooses the profession of a TV reporter because of his longing to serve the society. He joins Today TV channel as chief reporter. All his news and way of publicity makes all the society and his organization to ponder.
Even though many suicides are happening among Kerala's farmsers, the government does not take any steps or measures to control the mass suicides. Cameraman Abu has doen done an excellent job in the movie and his works can be seen in hero Nandakumar?s camera.
The main story focuses on a poor farmer in the village who lives with his four daughters. The main hope of the family is that their eldest daughter, Selina, must become a doctor. The media people mingle with the villagers; step by step, the movie screens the problems in the village and this causes trouble for many government officials. So this makes Nandakumar take severe actions against top officials and he is asked to come leave the village to go back to the city. But he refuses to do so; instead he stays in the village and works for the improvement of the village with the help of Selina and the villagers. Thus the story ends.
The shooting for the film was in and around Thodupuzha. The movie is expected to be released next month.
