ABCD is a beautiful romance comedy entertainment with all masala stuff to impress the mass. Dulquar and Jacob's brilliant performances are the main highlights of the film. Sooraj-Neeraj's interesting story, Martin's engaging narration, Gopi Sunder's music, Jomon T John's camera work, beautiful artwork and locales and trendy costumes and makeups are its other attractions. Some illogical and over-the-top comedy scenes are its drawbacks.
The movie narrates the journey of two American Malayalees to their motherland - Kerala. ABCD brings out their dilemmas in the unfamiliar circumstances in a very hilarious way. The story is quite interesting and Martin Prakkat has a very good grip on the narration of the whole show. With a few comedy scenes and funny-one-liners, the director keeps you engaged in the film till its end.
Johns (Dulquar Salman) is born and brought up in America, who leads a luxurious life. But some unprecedented events lead him to leave for his motherland Kerala. His cousin Kora (Jacob Gregory) also accompanies him. Soon Johns becomes a star among his relatives here with his foreign attire and gentle behaviour. How he behaves in some unfamiliar circumstances have been brought in humorous way which should be watched on screen.

ABCD Is About Confused Desis
In the US, the natives have the tendency to ridicule the foreigners by calling them confused desis. The movie, which is inspired from a newspaper article, deals with the life of two such desi guys. ABCD is an acronym for American Born Confused Desi and the title is apt and justifiable.
Dulquar's Performance As NRI
Dulquar, who has impressed the viewers as NRI in Ustad Hotel, is sure to rock the viewers again as American-returned guy. He looks completely different from the earlier one. His mannerisms and characteristics are perfect match for his role. He is the showman in the film. He is sure to create a new trend with his trendy costumes, bikes, cars and other stuffs.
Jacob Gregory - As Dulquar's Cousin
Jacob Gregory is best known for his performance as expatriate Malayali Girigiri living in the US in Malayalam sitcom Akkara Kazhchakal. He has delivered equally good performance, which is good asset for the film. He displayed the traits of a typical expatriate.
Aparna Gopinath, who has a strong theatrical background, has donned a geek look with black-rimmed glasses and cropped hair. She has also done a brilliant job and done justice to her role in the movie. Others like Vijayaraghavan, Lalu Alex, Tovino Thomas, Thampi Antony and Savannah Schechter have also done justice to their roles
Jomon T John's picturisation is the main highlight in the technical front. Jomon has an eye for detail and the visuals, which are vibrant in the movie. Gopi Sunder's music is another big strength of the film.
There are some of the best humorous dialogues and funny one-liners. Don Max's editing, Ajay Mangad's art direction, Sameera Saneesh's costumes and Renjith Ambady's make up are also commendable.
ABCD is a wonderful comedy entertainer, which has interesting story that is coupled with best performances and superb technical work. If you are comedy lover, don't miss to watch this film.
