Samir Thahir's latest directorial venture Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi (NPCB) is one of the most-hyped movies of the year 2013. The movie was in news prior to its release owing to its star cast. The movie is the first of its kind in the industry and is an above average flick.
Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi tells the story about two college students Kasi (Dulquar Salman) and Suni (Sunny Wayne), who plans a road trip to Nagaland from Kerala, in search of love and life. The film has mainly targetted today's youth, who enjoy their life with bikes, road trips, girls and parties. The movie is more like a treat for them. The movie carries a good message too.
Dulquar Salman has once again proved himself as a performer. The 'kurudi' Sunny Wayne has also performed an equally important role in Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi. All other cast including the heroines Surja Bala and Enna Saha who made their debut in the industry with NPCB, have done justice to their roles.
The visuals in Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi is the highlight as it speaks more than dialogues. The storyline is very intersting and has been very well supported by the entire cast and crew of the film. The visuals are outstanding with a good background score. The movie has good humour laced around it because of which the audience will not be bored. The music suits the story of the film, but otherwise, it's slightly disappointing.
Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi drags slightly towards the end. There is nothing much in the movie for a mass audience. The movie does not have too many cliches in it. It is not just a road movie, but it also throws light on the current politics, friendship, etc.

Neelakasaham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi is the third directorial venture of Samir Thahir. His earlier movies were Chappa Kurishu and Anju Sundarikal. The movie is the first road trip film in the industry.
Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi is Dulquar's sixth movie. He has done complete justice to his character as Kasi.
Sunny Wayne made his debut along with Dulquar Salman in Second Show. This is his fifth movie. Five of his films are under filming.
Surja Bala is a Manipuri actress. She makes her debut in the Malayalam industry with Neelakasaham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi.
This is Samir's third movie as a director. Samir, who was earlier a cinematographer has an added advantage of being able to visualise the film better.
This is the second movie by the duo Dulquar Salman and Sunny Wayne. Both of them made their debut in the Malayalam industry with the film Second Show.
Along with Dulquar Salman, Sunny Wayne, Surja Bala, the movie has a big star cast including Dhritiman Chatterjee, Joy Mathew, Pearle Maaney, Paloma Monappa, Avanthika, KTC Abdullah, Vanitha Krishnachandran, Ajay Nataraj, Madhubaladevi and Bobby Zachariah Abraham.
The effort taken by the crew to shoot locations from Kerala to Nagaland is incredible. Scripting of the movie is excellent. The movie has a crisp editing and has a good background score as well. Overall performance is an average one.
The director has mainly targetted the youth this time. NPCB is unlikely to entertain a family or the mass audience.
A Highly entertaining movie for the youth. Youngsters can chill the weekend by seeing NPCB. Overall, it is an above average movie.
