Gods Own Country, which bears the tag line 'A Rare Emotional Day' is directed by Vasudev Sanal and hit the theaters today (May 9). Starring Fahad Fazil in the lead, the movie tells a rare incident that hits the lives of three people on a single day. The three people are an NRI from Dubai, an advocate and a taxi driver, played by Fahad, Lal and Sreenivasan respectively.

The movie has succeeded in keeping the people engaged very well in the first half. The story revolves around Advocate Mathen Tharaken, Manu and Mohammed. Mathen, who is a Public Prosecutor appearing in a sensational case that the state has ever seen has to reach the court with an important evidence while Mohammed is in a desperate situation needing Rs 6 lakhs. Manu also is on the lookout for Rs 75 lakhs and each of the two plots barring Mathen's plot have big connection with the protagonists life.

How these three end up the day fulfilling their desires is what the movie is all about.

Performances:
Fahad Fazil, Lal and Sreenivasan are the main highlighted characters in the film and have shown an excellent performance. Nandhu, Lena, Isha Talwar, Mythili, Manikuttan and Vijayakumar have done their roles equally well.

Technical Aspects:
Vasudev Sanal has indeed done a great job as a director. The movie has a well-drafted script with much less flaws. The movie gives an high engaging time indeed and one will clinge on the seat for sure. The music scored by Gopi Sunder suits the film and the camera works and editing stands average.

Verdict:
On an overall, Gods Own Country is an entertainer, with much of suspense element in it. One will not get bored for sure. The movie is worth your money. Go for the movie this weekend and enjoy.
