Cinematographer
turned
director
Rajeev
Ravi
is
back
in
action
with
his
second
directorial
venture
Njan
Steve
Lopez.
The
movie
is
produced
by
Madhu
Neelakandan,
Alan
McAlex
and
Madhukar
R.
Musle
under
the
banner
Jar
Productions.
Director
Fazil's
younger
son
Farhan
and
actor
Krishnakumar's
eldest
daughter
Ahaana
debuts
with
this
movie
as
lead
actors.
Story
Steve
lopez
(
Farhan)
is
the
son
of
DYSP
George
Lopez
(Alancier).
He
is
a
19
year
old
guy
and
leads
a
normal
life.
His
love
interest
is
Anjali
(Ahaana),
the
daughter
of
a
Circle
Inspector.
But
an
incident
he
witnesses,
completely
changes
his
life
and
lands
him
in
big
trouble.
The
rest
of
the
plot
develops
on
Steve's
struggles
to
come
out
of
the
trouble.
Cast
and
Performance
Farhan
Fazil
makes
a
decent
debut
with
his
matured
portrayal
as
19
year
old
Steve
Lopez.
Newcomer
Ahaana
doesn't
have
much
to
perform.
Rest
of
the
cast
including
Alancier,
Sujith
Shankar,
Vinayakan,
Dr.
Ambikasuthan
and
Chinnu
Kuruvilla
have
given
decent
performances.
Script
and
Direction
The
script
penned
by
Rajesh
Ravi,
Geethu
Mohandas
and
Santhosh
Echikkanam
seems
stretched.
The
movie
keeps
lagging
from
the
beginning
to
end.
Rajeev
Ravi's
direction
is
good;
but
the
theme
seems
too
small
for
a
feature
film
and
has
lost
its
balance
in
an
attempt
to
make
it
a
116
minutes
long
feature
film.
Technical
Aspects
Pappu's
cinematography
is
excellent
and
completely
creates
a
realistic
backdrop
to
the
movie.
Editing
by
B
Ajithkumar
is
not
effective
as
the
movie
is
completely
into
slow
pace.
The
live
recording
technique
adds
the
beauty
to
the
plot.
Songs
and
Background
Score
Chandran
Veyattummal's
background
score
is
excellent;
but
Shahabaz
Aman's
songs
doesn't
reaches
the
expectations.
Verdict
Recommended
for
those
audience
who
love
to
watch
a
different
movie
attempt.
