Ivan Maryadaraman Movie Review: Simply Outdated

Ivan Maryadaraman is the comedy entertainer which stars Dileep in the title role. The movie is directed by debutante Suresh Divakar. Nikki Galrani essays the female lead opposite Dileep. Ivan Maryadaraman is produced by Anto Joseph under the banner Anto Joseph Film Company.

Ivan Maryadaraman Plot

Ramu (Dileep) is a young man who works in Pune. His closest companion is his bicycle. Later, he decides to buy a mini career for his professional purpose and leaves to hi hometown, with an intention to sell his ancestral property.

He meets Krishnendu (Nikki Galrani), a happy-go-lucky in the train and they become friends. Krishnendu takes Ramu home to meet her family. Once he reaches her home, he is shocked to find a gang of people waiting there to kill him.The rest of the event forms the crux of the plot.

Ivan Maryadaraman Cast

Dileep, who plays Ramu, disappoints with his repetitive role and performance. The character is just another extension of his earlier roles. The actor should avoid taking up stereotyped roles and should try some meaty roles instead.

Nikki Galrani shares a decent chemistry with Dileep; but needs to work on her acting skills. Rest of the star cast including Sunil Sukhada, Kailash, Saju Navodaya, Abu Salim, Nagineedu, Thara Kalyan, Vadivukkarasi and Manju Satheesh are just fine in their roles.

Script And Direction

Scenarists Udayakrishna and Sibi K Thomas has nothing much to do; as the movie is a remake of Maryada Ramanna. But the screenplay doubtlessly lacks the charm; which badly affects the movie.

Director Suresh Divakar fails to impress with his debut movie. Ivan Maryadaraman simply copies the narrative styles of Dileep's earlier movies and has nothing new to offer.

Technical Aspects

Vijay Ulaganath scores with the decent cinematography. Johnkutty's editing is not up to mark.

Gopi Sundar's songs fails to meet the expectations. But the composer scores with the perfect background score.
