Premam is a romantic comedy directed by Alphonse Puthren, with Nivin Pauly in the central role. Debutantes Anupama Parameshwaran, Sai Pallavi and Madonna essyas the female leads in the movie. Premam is produced by filmmaker Anwar Rasheed, under the banner Anwar Rasheed Entertainments.

George (Nivin Pauly) is a happy go lucky guy. He falls in love with Mary (Anupama Parameshwaran), a higher secondary student. Soon he suffers a heart break. Then George falls in love with Malar (Sai Pallavi), who works as an assistant professor in his college. Then enters Celine (Madonna) and what happens next forms the crux of the story.
Nivin Pauly shines as George. He succeeds in depicting the transformation of the character from a bubbly guy to a rough and tough man, so effortlessly. Anupama Parameshwaran, Sai Pallavi and Madonna makes decent debuts as the female leads.
The rest of the cast, including Renji Panicker, Vinay Forrt, Manianpilla Raju, Jude Anthany Joseph, Krishna Sankar, Shabareesh Varma, Wilson Joseph, Anju Kurian, Rinsa Jacob etc are perfect in their respective roles.
Script And Direction
Alphonse Puthren, who has handled the script and direction, successfully brings out a perfect entertainer, with a very light yet interesting storyline and the perfect blend of comical elements.
The director surely deserves a great applause for the courage and confidence he shows to choose the simple themes and different narrative patterns for his movies.
Anand C Chandran scores with the brillinat cinematography, which makes a perfect ambience for a light-hearted entertainer. Editing by director Alphonse Puthren also meets the standards; but the duration of the film could have been a bit shorter.
Songs And Background Score
The songs and background score by Rajesh Murugesan is completely young and fresh. The songs may not satisfy the all types of audiences, but perfectly sinks in with the nature of the film. The background score creates a perfect mood for the movie from the beginning till end.
A perfect light-hearted entertainer, which is just for entertainment, entertainment and entertainment.
