Aanandam, which has a group of young actors in the lead roles, has hit the the theatres today (October 21, 2016). The film has been produced by Vineeth Sreenivasan under the banner, Habit Of Life productions.
Ganesh Raj, who has worked as an assistant to Vineeth Sreenivasan in the past, makes his debut with Aanandam. The film has its script written by the director himself. Aanandam was shot in various locations like Kochi, Hyderabad, Goa etc.
The story of Aanandam revoloves around a group of engineering students namely Varun, Gautham, Dia, Kuppi, Darshana, Akshay and Devika. The gang of students along with their classmates venture out for a college tour spanning 4 days. They cover various places and the film takes you through their fun-filled journey and certain interesting incidents.

Script & Direction - Ganesh Raj
Ganesh Raj has struck the right chords with Aanandam. Being an Engineering graduate himself, he has been able to etch out the right essence of college life. He has presented the fun moments in a realistic manner. There are certain lagging moments in the second half, but he makes up for it by coming back strongly, each time. In fact, the freshness in presentation is sure to appeal the youth.
A Group Of Youngsters
It has to be said that Aanandam has marked the impressive debut of a group of youngsters. Arun, Thomas, Annu, Anarkali, Roshan, Siddhi, Vishak etc., have played their part perfectly. They haven't shown the inhibitions of newcomers, while facing the camera.
Rony David As Professor Chacko
A special mention to this actor, who has done the role of a professor, with ease. He is sure to keep you entertained and bring in the memories of professors from your college days.

Aanandam has 5 songs set to tune by Sachin Warrier. The film marks his debut as a music director. The songs of the film have already created an impact and they gel well with the movie. The BGM of the film takes you smoothly through the journey of the youngsters.
Editor - Abhinav Sunder Nayak
Young editor, Abhinav Sunder Nayak, who shot to fame with films like Vaayai Moodi Pesavum and Malayalam film You Too Brutus, has handled the editing department of the film. He has done a decent job and has kept the runtime in check.

The film doesn't have a big story to tell, but it takes you through a happy, fun-filled journey of a group of students. At the same time, the film is just not about fun, as there are moments in the film, which would definitely inspire you.
The film has portrayed the life of engineering students, as it is, and stays close to reality. Don't expect any over-the-top sequences or filmy stuffs, as what we see on the screen might be something we have originally experienced during our college life.
