Aanandam, which has a group of young actors in the lead roles, has hit the the theatres today (October 21, 2016). The film has been produced by Vineeth Sreenivasan under the banner, Habit Of Life productions.

Ganesh Raj, who has worked as an assistant to Vineeth Sreenivasan in the past, makes his debut with Aanandam. The film has its script written by the director himself. Aanandam was shot in various locations like Kochi, Hyderabad, Goa etc.

Synopsis

The story of Aanandam revoloves around a group of engineering students namely Varun, Gautham, Dia, Kuppi, Darshana, Akshay and Devika. The gang of students along with their classmates venture out for a college tour spanning 4 days. They cover various places and the film takes you through their fun-filled journey and certain interesting incidents.

Ganesh Raj has struck the right chords with Aanandam. Being an Engineering graduate himself, he has been able to etch out the right essence of college life. In fact, the freshness in presentation is sure to appeal the youth.

The film doesn't have a big story to tell, but it takes you through a happy, fun-filled journey of a group of students. At the same time, the film is just not about fun, as there are moments in the film, which would definitely inspire you.

The film has portrayed the life of engineering students, as it is, and stays close to reality. Don't expect any over-the-top sequences or filmy stuffs, as what we see on the screen might be something we have originally experienced during our college life. There are many scenes in the film that would evoke the right amount of nostalgia.
