Rating:
2.5/5
Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti is the retro-modern classic movie, which stars Kunchacko Boban in the lead role. The movie is written and directed by newcomer Rishi Sivakumar and produced by Faizal Latheef.

Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti Story

Vinayan is a young man, who works as an operator in Sreedevi Talkies, an old 'C' class cinema theatre. The owner of the theatre is Madhavan Nair, who is also the godfather of Vinayan. The effects of globalisation start reflecting in the functioning of the theatre.

Here we present the cast and crew members and some interesting location pics... Have a look...

While Vinayan and Madhavan Nair tries to save the theatre, Bhagavan, the rival of Madhavan Nair tries to snatch it. Meanwhile, Vinayan falls in love with Sreedevi, Bhagavan's daughter. What happens to the talkies form the rest of the plot.

Cast And Performance

Kunchacko Boban has played Vinayan to near perfection and amazed with his electrifying dance moves. Shamili, who makes her debut in lead roles, has nothing much to do in her minimal role.

Premam fame Krishnashankar deserves a special mention for his exceptional performance. The rest of the star cast, including Manoj K Jayan, Renji Panicker, Suresh Krishna, Saiju Kurup, Sudheer Karamana, Sreejith Ravi, Seema G Nair, Muthumani, etc. neatly played their parts.

Script And Direction

The writer-director Rishi Sivakumar has succeeded in making the movie an exceptional visual treat. The effort taken by the director is quite visible in all aspects, including the detailing given to each character.

But, the wafer thin storyline and the underdone script which is filled with the cliched comical sequences, forces the movie to end up as an average, unsatisfying experience.

Technical Aspects

Cinematographer Kunjunni S Kumar makes a mark with his extraordinary visuals and it is his undoubtedly his best work till date. Sherif, the choreographer of the movie deserves a huge applause for the wonderful dance numbers.

Songs & Background Score

Sooraj S Kurup makes a fantastic debut as the music director and proves that he is here to stay. The catchy, rhythmic songs perfectly match with the festive mood of the movie. The background score is also equally good.

Verdict

A half-baked movie attempt, which can be watched for the wonderful visuals and songs.
