Oru
Kuttanadan
Blog,
the
Mammootty
starrer,
has
come
into
the
theatres
and
the
movie
has
had
a
whole
lot
of
good
prospects
to
talk
about,
right
from
its
star
cast,
led
by
the
impeccable
Mammootty
to
the
soothing
music.
Set
against
the
backdrop
of
the
Kuttanadu
region,
the
movie
promised
to
be
an
affair
with
some
light-hearted
comedies,
feel-good
moments
and
a
nativity
factor.
Has
Oru
Kuttanadan
Blog
managed
to
live
upto
those
expectations?

The
story
of
Oru
Kuttanadan
Blog
is
set
in
a
place
called
Krishnapuram.
Hari,
who
was
abroad
for
quite
a
few
years,
decides
to
return
to
his
native
place.
He
is
given
a
grand
welcome
by
the
villagers
and
he
is
indeed
a
brotherly
figure
to
a
group
of
youngsters
and
a
do-gooder.
The
film
takes
us
through
a
series
of
events
that
unfold
in
the
life
of
the
protagonist
and
how
people
surrounding
him
react
to
those.
Sethu
is
making
his
directorial
debut
with
this
film
and
the
plot
that
he
chose
for
this
is
indeed
a
simple
one.
Despite
that,
the
plot
and
the
characterisations
had
the
scope
to
deliver
something
interesting
and
the
writer
in
Sethu
has
only
managed
to
deliver
the
desirables
in
a
partial
manner,
since
the
film
has
some
moments,
which
might
give
you
a
dejavu
feel.
However,
he
has
tried
to
embed
some
fine
moments,
especially
in
the
first
half
of
the
movie,
where
the
audiences
are
in
for
some
good
humour.
The
film-maker
in
Sethu
has
made
an
OK
debut
by
making
a
film
which
stands
as
a
proper
family
entertainer,
as
it
has
equal
dosage
of
humour
and
sentiments.
However,
he
is
unable
to
overcome
the
cliche
or
add
the
required
freshness
by
coming
up
with
something
innovative.
Mammootty
plays
the
role
of
Hari
with
ease
and
he
is
seen
as
a
full-on-energy
character.
As
usual,
his
screen
presence
is
impeccable
and
at
times,
he
single-handedly
takes
forward
the
film
with
his
performance.
Raai
Laxmi
portrays
the
role
of
Sreejaya
and
she
was
OK
in
her
role.
Similar
was
the
case
with
Anu
Sithara
and
Shamna
Kasim.
Sunny
Wayne
can
be
seen
in
a
cameo
role
and
his
voice-over
adds
a
good
effect
to
the
film.
It
was
refreshing
to
see
Lalu
Alex
in
full
form
once
again.
The
film
also
features
Sanju
Sivaram,
Jacon
Gregory,
Nedumudi
Venu,
etc.,
in
important
roles,
but
some
of
these
roles
didn't
have
the
required
depth.
The
cinematography
of
the
film
deserves
a
huge
round
of
applause
and
some
of
his
eye-candy
frames
are
sure
to
impress
the
audiences.
Music
by
Sreenath
also
is
one
of
the
best
parts
of
the
movie.
Editing
could
have
been
better.
Oru
Kuttanadan
Blog
narrates
an
ordinary
tale,
which
has
some
good
moments
to
offer
for
the
audiences.
At
the
same
time,
the
film
seems
like
a
mix
up
of
a
few
movies
from
the
past,
as
it
has
its
own
share
of
cliched
moments
to
offer
as
well.
Nevertheless,
the
movie
is
a
decent
one-time
watch.
