Turbo Advance Booking Update: Mammootty And Raj B. Shetty's Movie Sees Strong Pre-Release Sales

Turbo Advance Booking: "Turbo" is a forthcoming action-comedy movie in Malayalam, helmed by director Vysakh. The screenplay is written by Midhun Manuel Thomas, and Mammootty oversees production under his banner, Mammootty Kampany.

Mammootty, Raj B. Shetty, and Sunil take on pivotal roles in the movie. Christo Xavier is in charge of the music and background score; Vishnu Sarma handles cinematography; and editing is overseen by Shameer Muhammed. "Turbo" is set to debut in theatres on May 23, 2024.

The production budget for "Turbo" reportedly amounted to ₹70 crore. Mammootty officially announced the film on October 24, 2023. Principal photography commenced in Coimbatore in October 2023 and wrapped up on February 18, 2024.

According to film industry tracker What The Fuss, the advance sales for "Turbo" have reached approximately ₹1.65 crore from 1,015 tracked shows, four days before its release. In comparison, other major 2024 releases also saw significant pre-release figures four days before they hit theatres. "Malaikottai Vaaliban" garnered ₹2.16 crore from 1,453 shows, while "Aadujeevitham" achieved ₹1.75 crore from 820 shows. These numbers indicate a strong anticipation for "Turbo," positioning it alongside other highly anticipated films of the year.

Turbo Premise

Turbo Jose, a Jeep driver hailing from Idukki, encounters trouble and is compelled to shift to Chennai, where he becomes involved with Indhulekha and her brother Jerry. However, Jose finds himself confronted with a series of unexpected events, including encounters with Vetrivel Shanmugha Sundaram and others, upon his arrival in Chennai.

The cast of "Turbo" includes Mammootty as Aruvipurathu Jose, also known as Turbo Jose, a Jeep driver. Raj B. Shetty portrays Vetrivel Shanmugha Sundaram, an underworld business tycoon, and Sunil plays Auto Billa, Vetrivel's business partner. Anjana Jayaprakash stars as Indhulekha, Jerry's love interest, while Kabir Duhan Singh is Vincent, another business partner of Vetrivel. Bindu Panicker appears as Rosakutty, Jose's teacher, and Janardhanan as Aruvipurath Mathachan, Jose's father. Siddique plays Aruvipurath Joseph, Jose's elder brother, and Shabareesh Varma is Aruvipurath Jerry, Jose's younger brother. Adarsh Sukumaran stars as Basil, Jose's friend, with Dileesh Pothan as Andrew, General Manager at Vetrivel's company, and VTV Ganesh as Minister Arivazhagan Chella Durai.
