IPS Officer's first hit

Aizawl (UNI): Member of Parliament H T Sangliana of Bangalore North has become the talk of the town, not for his political activities but for a music album. Joseph Zaihmingthanga, a top gospel crooner, has featured Mr Sangliana in his new music album 'Nitin Lalpa,' which has turned out to be a massive hit in the Mizoram. Nitin Lalpa' literally means 'Everyday with God', it is a devotional song praying to God to help me out in my daily life, the MP said here yesterday. Adding colours to H T Sangliana's lyrics, Zaihmingthanga had composed the tune.

''On his last visit here Mr Sangliana handed the lyrics and asked to compose a tune without changing a single syllable of the lyric, it was a tough job,'' Zaihmingthanga said. People of the state love the song and the music as well, Zaihmingthanga added. In just a week after the music video was aired by local cable operators here it has become the most popular gospel song in the state. Mr Sangliana had set an record as an IPS officer to have served as Superintendent of Police in as many as six districts of Karnataka, sources said. He also headed the Special Task Force to nab the notorious Veerappan.ention.
