Pritam
is
still
coming
to
terms
with
the
fact
that
after
the
huge
success
of
the
music,
Jannat
is
doing
wonders
at
the
box
office
as
well.
"I
couldn't
believe
it
when
I
woke
up
to
Saturday
morning
reports
that
Jannat
was
creating
waves
across
the
country",
says
Pritam
with
a
sense
of
disbelief,
"I
mean,
I
did
expect
the
film
to
take
a
decent
opening
considering
the
fact
that
there
was
good
buzz
about
Jannat.
However,
smashing
collections
all
over
came
as
a
pleasant
surprise."
Continuing
to
be
his
modest
self
even
as
Jannat
has
turned
out
to
be
Pritam's
second
big
success
in
a
row
this
year
after
Race,
Pritam
adds,
"I
spoke
to
few
other
prominent
people
in
the
industry
just
to
gauge
how
the
overall
feel
for
the
film
was
and
everyone
was
unanimous
in
declaring
Jannat
to
be
at
the
least
HIT
based
on
just
it's
initial.
For
a
medium
budget
film
like
Jannat,
the
audience
response
has
been
mind-blowing."
Bhatts
are
all
appreciating
for
Pritam's
music
for
Jannat
and
have
acknowledged
the
fact
that
his
music
played
a
huge
role
in
the
film's
opening.
Tell
Pritam
this
and
he
says
in
a
humble
tone,
"Somehow
my
combination
with
Bhatts
has
been
working
quite
well
now.
Gangster,
Woh
Lamhe,
Awarapan
-
where
I
mainly
arranged
the
music
-
and
now
Jannat;
I
guess
I
am
a
part
of
a
good
phase
out
here."
After
2007,
Pritam
can
now
look
forward
to
much
more
success
coming
his
way
in
2008
as
well
with
number
of
prominent
films
lined
up
for
release.
While
the
biggest
of
all
is
undoubtedly
Singh
Is
Kinng
which
has
Akshay
Kumar
and
Katrina
Kaif
coming
together
under
the
baton
of
Aneez
Bazmee,
he
is
also
mixing
it
all
up
with
an
offbeat
flick
like
Har
Pall.
Meanwhile,
he
would
be
going
out
and
out
commercial
with
Priyadarshan's
Billo
Barber
(Shahrukh
Khan,
Kareena
Kapoor)
and
Subhash
Ghai's
Hello
Darling
(Celina
Jaitley,
Gul
Panag,
Isha
Koppikar)
in
months
to
come.
