Abhijeet dismisses accident allegation

Abhijeet Sawant clears the air by rubbishing all the rumours that have been circulating about him in the media. In an exclusive interview with TOI, Sawant denied to all the reports expressing that he is very upset about all the allegations. He added that neither he was drunk nor was he racing his car. He said that he was in fact not present at the spot when the accident occurred day before yesterday.

He informed that after the accident when mob grew violent, Prajakta Shukre, friend to Abhijeet and the convict of the accident, gave a call to him for help. He immediately arrived at the scene at Daulat Nagar to help her out. While, Abhijeet succeeded in protecting Prajakta from the violent crowd, one of her friends Antara, who was also present in the car, was injured.

He added that the bikers who got injured in the accident were not wearing their helmets and were also not carrying their licence. Sawant said that the police couldn't help much to control the mob and they even entered into the police station and assaulted him. However, the police has denied the allegation.

Prajakta Shukre and Abhijeet called for a press conference on Wednesday, informing that the medical tests proves that she was not drunk while driving and the police also did not come across any evidence after searching their car and bags.
